New South Wales 2013 Public Holidays

Each state and territory in Australia has its own public holidays, and so does New South Wales. Public holidays in New South Wales are regulated by New South Wales Public Holidays Act 2010. Generally, New South Wales observes 11 public holidays a year.

During public holidays in New South Wales, workers of both public and private companies are granted time off with regular pay. Currently, if workers are required to work on these public holidays, they will be paid at penalty rate of about 2.5 times (double time and a half) the regular pay.

Some public holidays including Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day are considered as restricted shop trading in New South Wales. Based on Retail Trading Act 2008, businesses and shops must be closed on these days except the exempted ones such as small shops, hotels, business operates within Sydney Trading Precinct, and some others.

Below is the list of New Zealand 2013 public holidays calendar. Please note that this calendar is based on an estimate. Thus, we do not and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the calendar available.
