Pakistan Public Holidays 2013 Calendar
Being a Muslim-majority country, public holidays in Pakistan are mostly derived from major Islamic festivals. Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Azha are the biggest Islamic festivals celebrated in Pakistan.
The Islamic holidays observed in Pakistan are based on Islamic lunar calendar, so the dates of the holidays keep changing from year to year. The dates of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha must be observed through moon sighting. Therefore, the exact dates of those festivals can only be announced in hours preceding the festivals.
Besides major Islamic festivals, Pakistan observe certain number of national holidays such as Pakistan Day and Labor Day. Below is the list of 2013 Pakistan public holidays. Since this is only an estimate, we do not and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information below.

I find an odd fact. Pakistan celebrates most muslim festivals as its public holidays. However, this country celebrate gregorian new year, but it doesn’t observe Islamic new year.
